BEAVERTON, Ore. (May 1, 2017) – Precision Aircraft Solutions Precision, on behalf of Aero Air doing business as Erickson AeroTanker, has been issued an amendment to its supplemental type certificate for the conversion of MD87 aircraft into aerial firefighting tankers.
“Precision is pleased to offer heightened performance in the MD87 to further exceed the expectations of the U.S. Forest Service and other esteemed organizations,” said Precision President Gary Warner.
Precision and Aero Air/Erickson AeroTanker share a parent company, Erickson Group Ltd., founded by aviation entrepreneur Jack Erickson. It’s first MD87 STC was reached in 2013.
