CONFIGURATION CONTROL COORDINATOR
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain company processes that ensure certification conformity is fully traceable and conformity accounting is accurate at all times. Develop comprehensive conformity tracking that can be fully relied upon by engineering management, engineers, and FAA representatives.
  • Support the Director of Engineering with the coordination of aircraft modification kitting logistical requirements including but not limited to, building schedules, flowing fabrication tasks, coordinating with engineering, materials, production, and vendors on technical and manufacturing tasks.
  • Serve as liaison between engineering, procurement, manufacturing, production to ensure engineering data is accurately applied by manufacturing. Work in alliance with materials to ensure final parts (kitting) conforms to the applicable data/drawings. 
  • Coordinate/verify that design changes are systematically considered to minimize adverse effect and ensure product consistency through the product life. Ensure design changes are carried out as dictated by released/approved data.
  • Support aircraft certification programs and prototype development with the generation of the required FAA documentation (Request for Conformity) that will ensure part manufacturing (kitting) conforms to the applicable data/drawings. Ensure proper engineering data releases and FAA approvals are in place in order to commence the part conformity process. Ensure the process is followed or improved to avoid conformity delays.
  • Maintain the Master Bill of Materials (MBOM).
  • Maintain a Unique Bill of Materials for each aircraft conversion which includes: kit tracker, summary of all changes to MO/kit.
  • Maintain a cost accounting of the Master Bill of Materials (MBOM). Provide current MBOM to Purchasing for Financial Reporting.
  • Prepare Parts Change Notices (PCN) that provide a clear and definite summary so that accurate data is used to fabricate parts/kitting.
  • Ensure the top installation drawing collector is accurate so the applicable kits/sub kits and data are applied during kit assembly and kit installation. Ensure aircraft surveys are interpreted accurately and applied to installation drawing collector.
  • Support the review and accuracy of the Master Drawing List (MDL) and the Sub Drawing Lists (Sub DL).
  • Assist Director of Engineering with analysis and process development which supports AS9100 quality management system accreditation.

AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Report to Lead Systems Engineer for day to day electrical and systems technical expertise.  Lead Systems Engineer or a delegated engineer will provide day to day assignments.
  • When required, serve as a technical focal for engineers, customers, and technical personnel regarding complex aircraft electrical and system issues.
  • Provide technical expertise for trouble shooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action for aircraft systems failures which will include, but are not limited to: pneumatics, hydraulics, water/waste, smoke detection, environmental control, cooling, oxygen, APU, and power plant.
  • Develop systems drawings that will be used to manufacture, assemble, and install complex aircraft component or systems. Analyze customer and project requirements and determine feasibility of design.
  • Design and plan system integration of existing or new equipment/components.
  • Analyze and check systems engineering data produced by the engineering group to ensure that it meets the necessary/minimum requirements for FAA certification.
  • Guide engineers and technicians/mechanics in the integration or repair of aircraft systems or components.
  • Ensure that FAA relations are typified by open communication, absence of meeting requests, and simple resolution of issues at the lowest possible FAA contact level.
  • Mentor engineers in the understanding of certification data development and regulation interpretation.  Mentor engineers that may qualify as DER candidates.
  • Provide technical guidance in the minimum regulatory and testing requirements for D0-160 environmental testing.
  • Support on site requirements for aircraft modifications.
  • Support on site troubleshooting and resolution of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) malfunctions.
  • Coordinate with FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) and propose practical solutions on the development of technical data which will show compliance.
  • Coordination with Director of Engineering to define system design performance metrics for operational capability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Responsible for completing global priorities as established by Director of Engineering.
  • Other tasks reasonably requested due the nature of your position.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 5-10 years experience in a relevant technical discipline
  • Proficient on AutoCAD
  • Familiar with CFR 14-25 as they relate to electrical aspects of the aircraft
  • Able to travel in support of team projects, design or customer reviews, sometimes at short notice

SR. SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Essential Duties and Job Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in mechanical, civil, aerospace, or aeronautical engineering
  • Provides leadership (technical and project management) to team of systems engineers
  • Reviews the work of other systems engineers for accuracy and completeness
  • Provides guidance and training to other system engineers
  •  Understands how various groups (engineering, production, program management, sales, manufacturing) work together and able to navigate through the company
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers as the technical point of contact for his/her system
  • Must be able to work independently and with little supervision to support system or sustaining engineering efforts
  • Approve, review, and process engineering changes in the development and in-service use of aircraft systems
  • Perform research and/or testing for troubleshooting and presents system architecture changes for consideration
  • Able to interface with existing and new suppliers and OEM's
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to perform basic structural analyses
  • Fluency in aircraft fastener and material properties
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of engineering principles, repair and fabrication practices, aviation hardware, and general aircraft maintenance operations
  • Must be a self-starter who is adaptable, highly motivated, able to work under pressure, and can work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of aircraft design concepts, industry design standards, and FAA regulations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with FAA, DERs, and customers
  • Ability to communicate effectually during design review meetings

LIAISON ENGINEER
We are seeking a highly qualified liaison engineer to work in various locations, both in the United States and abroad. Significant travel may be required. This position reports to the director of engineering.
    Essential Duties and Job Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in mechanical, civil, aerospace, or aeronautical engineering typically required, although relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a related engineering field with a hands-on environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and Microsoft Office
  • Able to prepare accurate and concise hand sketches for repair or design improvements; Solidworks experience a plus
  • Proficiency in repair design and structural analysis
  • Experience in large aircraft repair with a MRO or airline
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations/certification processes and related requirements
  • Can effectively coordinate with FAA, DERs, customers, vendors, and other departments
  • Can demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of engineering principles, repair and fabrication practices, aviation hardware and general aircraft maintenance operations
  • Extensive knowledge of technical aircraft data such as engineering drawings, SRMs, MMs, SBs, and IPCs
  • Must have good oral, written, and organizational skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to prepare effective aircraft repair instructions
  • Three years’ experience with STC modifications
  • Must be a self-starter who is adaptable, highly motivated, able to work under pressure, and can work with minimal supervision
