BEAVERTON, Ore. (June 10, 2015) — Precision Aircraft Solutions has been contracted to begin a 757 passenger-to-freighter conversion for San Francisco-based Vx Capital Partners. The privately owned leasing company, which specializes in commercial aircraft and engines, tapped Precision earlier this month to assist with capitalizing on the thriving market.

“Due to the high demand for freighters in the Precision 757 weight and volume class, we believe that now is the time to move forward with the 757 as a natural extension of our B737-400 freighter fleet portfolio,” said Eric Adema, principal of Vx. “This new 757 development gives operators a great performance and tonnage spectrum to choose from.”

The aircraft, MSN 25397, is a 757-200 with winglets and Pratt-Whitney engines.
Conversion is scheduled to begin at HAECO Americas in Greensboro, NC, on June 22, producing a completed freighter by 4Q15.

“We are thrilled to be doing business with Vx Capital Partners,” said Brian McCarthy, Precision VP of Sales. “Not only do we have the opportunity to support an organization with deep industry knowledge, but we are also adding a highly respected operating lessor to our stable of companies.”
